The influence of excess cement on the formation of inflammation of the tissues surrounding the implants – case study
STRESZCZENIE: Uzupełnianie braków zębowych za pomocą implantów jest w dzisiejszych czasach często wykonywaną procedurą chirurgiczną, która ma na celu zrekonstruowanie prawidłowych warunków okluzyjnych. Cementowanie prac protetycznych może powodować zaleganie nadmiaru cementu w szczelinie dziąsłowej, co zostało zidentyfikowane jako wskaźnik ryzyka chorób o charakterze zapalnym wokół implantu.

ABSTRACT: Replacing missing teeth with implants is nowadays a frequently performed surgical procedure, which aims to reconstruct the correct occlusive conditions. The cementation of fixed implant-supported dental restorations can cause excess cement in the gingival sulcus which has been identified as a possible risk indicator of tissues inflammation around the implant.
